Something that is super fantastic about all of the historic sites that we have visited the last few days is that all of them seem to have live Peruvian flautists playing both what I assume is Peruvian music and a mixture of some American pop songs.
Peruvian flute music is soothing and calming and lovely background music to the amazing backdrops we’ve been seeing.
Here is a smattering of the music we’ve heard (that we recognize).
- Let it Be by Beatles
- Sounds of Silence by Simon & Garfunkle
- Imagine by John Lennon
- Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen
- Beat it by Michael Jackson
- And the Kill Bill theme song–although I assume that originally was Peruvian flautist music.
What is also hilarious is that Kris went through a world music phase a bunch of years ago and actually has Peruvian flute music on her iPad.
Anyhow, if you can check out some Peruvian flute music I highly recommend it!
